Mohamed-Ali Ltaief is an artist, and author, born in Tunis and lives in Berlin. His work explores notions of temporalities, spatiality, and geo-philosophy; he is especially interested in the non-established histories of Art, lost or left behind by the single universal history of modernity. His practice draws from cross-disciplinary perspectives, at the intersection of performance, theatre, sound, and visual art, alongside essays and fiction. Ltaief studied philosophy in Tunis, graduated from Beaux-Arts of Tunis, and is currently at the MA Spatial Strategies at Weißensee Academy of Art Berlin. Ltaief has been working on various art collectives, performance, and theater projects, including Ahl Al-Kahf collective Tunis (2011), Bios collective Tunis (2013), Call me X (2013) with Motus, video-installation as a part of Animale Politico Project along with Silvia Calderoni in Caliban Cannibal performance (2013-2016) at La Friche Belle de Mai, Marseille, France (2013), Santarcangelo Festival, Rimini, Italy (2014), MAXXI Museo, Rome, Italy (2015), Black Box Teater, Oslo, Norway (2015) and elsewhere, Mobility of Discourses at Camargo Foundation, Cassis, France (2017), and Hundert Jahre Weinen oder Hundert Bomben Werfen, co-authored with Darja Stocker, Theater Basel, Switzerland (2019).
